I opened up Catching Fire this morning and started reading. At first it was a bit hard to adjust to life after the Games. I was trying to get my bearings on the story and reacquainted with and reattached to the characters, when President Snow showed up and gave Katniss the opportunity to be the Katniss we all know and love.
When he charged that her actions in the arena were giving people in the districts the courage to consider uprising against the Capitol, she uttered one of my favorite lines to date,
"It must be very fragile, if a handful of berries can bring it down."
This is why I can't help but root for her. One minute she's a simple, confused teenager, the next full of such unflinching bravado that I laughed out loud.
