Day 20: The Collage Art of Carin Berger

I just "met" Carin Berger recently when I stumbled across her fall book, The Little Yellow Leaf , while compiling my 31 Fall Favorites booklist.  Of all the autumn books I read this year, this one was by far my favorite.

I love her sparse, sure writing style and the eclectic quirk of her collage illustrations.  One of the best things about finding a book that makes me swoon is knowing that there are usually more where that one came from.  Carin Berger is no exception.

Forever Friends is another beautiful book, very similar in tone and art.  I never would have found it without crossing paths with The Little Yellow Leaf.

Next on my Carin Berger list is All Mixed Up: A Mix-and-Match Book .  It's a quirky flip book that has my name written all over it.  Or maybe that's just wishful thinking...

I've always been a little jealous of collage artists.
