I'm going to have to learn to share...

This afternoon I let Matthew, my eight-year-old, use Photoshop for the first time.  I'm usually psycho-protective of my computer, but he's been creating such great artwork on paper and in KidPix lately that I couldn't ignore his interest any longer.

I let him go to it on his own, with no instruction, because I was in the middle of something else.  I came back to my computer an hour later to find this.

I love that cat.

There is hardly anything more inspirational than watching kids make art.  But now I'm afraid I may have to share my Mac.

  1. How cute. I love how creative kids are. My girls constantly amaze me with their creations.

  2. Oh, did you finish the Shatter Me books? What did you think?

    1. I didn't finish yet. My library only owns the first. But I just got B&N gift cards for my birthday. I think I might buy the whole set...

    2. Happy birthday! I always have such a hard time with book gift cards. Toooo many to choose from. :)

    3. Thanks for the birthday wishes! I was expecting lots of tough decisions, but Barnes & Noble shelf shock ended up making my decisions for me! They didn't have most of the books on my wish list. I'll have to order the Shatter Me series on Amazon. I ended up with SPARKY! (my favorite picture book so far this year) and WE WERE LIARS by E. Lockhart.

Thanks for joining the conversation!
